CEI was founded in 1994 in Australia with the purpose of providing consultancy and training services in the holistic education of children. Committed to cultivating excellence of character for a brighter future and a better world, CEI has worked closely with individuals, families, schools, universities, businesses, government organisations and community bodies across Australasia, China, North America and Europe.
In Australia, CEI has trained thousands of educators across the country and helped schools integrate values education into their curriculum in accordance with the requirements of the Australian National Department of Education.
From 2002-2017, CEI worked closely with government and non-government educational institutions in China, providing consultancy, curriculum development and teacher trainings to clients such as the Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences, Fudan University and Renmin University. During this time, CEI provided workshops for parents, trained teachers and created custom-made curricula for schools in many cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Luoyang, Dalian, Shijiazhuang, Wenzhou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Ningbo, and Changdu.
Given the current restrictions of movement due to COVID-19, CEI is now only offering some of its services online through virtual presentations on various topics as well as one-on-one consultations on parenting, personal development and family and relationship issues.

Co-Founder Sheri Hansen holds a Masters Degree in Business Management from California and has over 30 years of experience as a leading practitioner and specialist in the field of character education. She currently resides in Gold Coast, Australia.
Co-Founder Borge Hansen has over 25 years of experience as a management consultant with extensive knowledge and expertise in project and risk management, general business management, event management, and systems architecture. He is currently residing in Gold Coast, Australia.
